From the Heart of Pastor Joe

Why a ministry center with all of the needs in this city?

That is a great question, especially to one like me who is not a big fan of brick and mortar. But the realization of the answer comes to mind like it was yesterday.

It was 2001. Scranton Road Bible Church hosted a neighborhood carnival in our church parking lot. Wonderful people of all ages, races and ethnicities attended, most from challenging situations. It was when the light bulb when on. This is not a building campaign, it is instead mission control to develop and administer Biblical and holistic discipleship to this neighborhood in partnership with our many church and para-church friends.

People, not bricks.

It will be an opportunity to not to do for others, but to do with others with the goal of raising leadership opportunities and local ownership.
